Studio 38
The exhibition has brought together graduates from Prof. Angel Stanev’s sculpture studio.
The idea for this exhibition came up last year during the winter graduation examinations. Now, at the Krug Plus Gallery all students who have graduated Studio 38 in the last year and a half will be showing their works. The event is an original way to announce the beginning of their independent artistic activity. After five years at the Academy, each of these young authors has managed to build their own understanding and ideal about art. This is the completion of the first important stage in their development when they have been entirely supported by their professor. Apart from summing this stage up in a way, this event also has the purpose of permanently welding together what has been bonding them for such a long time as well as of preserving their ideals. All of them are clearly visible in their works –sculpture classical in value translated into modern language.
